Things you needs to know:
Despite the luxury that the safari tents provide it is still camping and it is important to respect the environment and be aware of potential dangers that surround you. Please note that, while we do everything we can to make your stay safe, it is your responsibility to ensure your own safety and especially that of your children and pets.
Particularly in the river fields it is essential that both children and pets are carefully supervised at all times as the unfenced river is an exciting but potentially dangerous part of the environment of Felin Geri.
On arrival, please park in the car park to the right of the drive and find your way to the Mill Café and Bar where Alan or Jane will be there to welcome you. While you relax and unwind from your journey you can start your break with a refreshing beer, glass of wine or enjoy a cup of tea while we tell you about the site. The bar operates on a tab system and you settle at the end of your stay.
On arrival, Alan or Jane will always give you a short tour of the site to show you the various facilities as well as your safari tent.
We’ve tried very hard to provide everything you might need for self-catering – that includes the kitchen sink – complete with running water!
There are cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Also the essential extras such as kitchen roll, cling film, foil and bin bags. A selection of basic condiments make for tasty mealtimes. For washing up we provide tea towels, hand towel and washing up liquid.
On arrival you will find milk in your cool box and a supply of premium quality tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in your tent or the cottage.
Cerif, Teifi and Aeron each have a cool box to keep your daily supplies cold and you can pick them up from the larder fridge in the Pantry. A supply of freezer blocks is stored there too ready for you to change them daily to keep the food in your cool box chilled.
All linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided with beds ready made up for your arrival.
Please bring your own beach towels.
If you have a little one, book a high chair and travel cot free of charge and save valuable room in your ca????
Yes! We welcome your dogs. With the river to play in and loads of greenery and space to run around, Felin Geri is a dogs’ paradise. All we ask is that your dog be socialized with other dogs and strangers so that everyone can enjoy their time with us.
We will also provide a washable plastic dog bed (we have three different sizes) but please remember your dog’s favourite blanket so that they settle into their holiday as quickly as you do. And dogs need their own beach towels too!
Each of the safari tents comes with a fully equipped shower room and lavatory located at the back of each tent. Forget about stepping out into the darkness to find the loo, we have mains lighting and provide hot water for the shower, wash basin and kitchen sink!
Even in summer it can go cold at night so we recommend you bring warm layers just in case and so you can make the most of starry nights sat out on the verandah.
With a sheepskin on the king sized bed and fleece throws on other beds you are sure to be kept warm while you sleep whatever the time of year.
In cooler weather we will light the wood burning stove before you arrive to make sure your tent is snug and comforting as soon as you arrive. You will also find hot water bottles tucked into beds.
For those of you that need to keep one eye on business while still enjoying a relaxing, peaceful break, the Felin Geri Mill Cafe and Bar is the only place at the moment where there is internet access via free wi-fi.
The bar gives you the opportunity to socialise while checking your emails, meeting up with others staying at Felin Geri.
