Things You Need To Know

On Arrival

The Mill Cafe and Bar

There are a few things you need to know before you arrive and to help you get the most out of your stay at Felin Geri.

On arrival please park in the car park to the right of the drive and find your way to the Mill Café and Bar. While you enjoy a welcome cup of tea, welsh cakes and bara brith we will take your belongings to your tent by buggy.

We will then give you a short tour of the site to show you the various facilities and you can pick up any pre-ordered food from the Pantry. A guided tour of your tent and its equipment shows you how to heat water and light the stove for cooking.

If you have any queries at any time please ask as we want your stay to be as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

Things You Don’t Need To Bring!

We try to supply everything - including the kitchen sink!
Outside spaces at Felin Geri

We have tried to provide all you should need for self catering and that includes the kitchen sink – complete with hot running water!

There are cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware.  Also the essential extras such as kitchen roll, cling film, foil and bin bags. A selection of basic condiments and a small herb garden make for tasty mealtimes. For washing up we provide tea towels, hand towel and washing up liquid.

On arrival you will find milk in your cool box and a supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits as a welcome pack. Any pre-ordered supplies will be in the Pantry fridge, ready for you to pick up.

All linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. On request we will provide cots and high chairs free of charge.

For those of you bringing your dog on holiday, we will provide a washable plastic dog bed (we have three different sizes) but please remember your dog’s favourite blanket so that they settle into their holiday as quickly as you do. And dogs need their own beach towels too!

Staying Warm and Cosy

Snuggle down under the warmth of the sheepskin

With a sheepskin on the king sized bed and fleece throws on other beds you are sure to be kept warm while you sleep whatever the time of year.

Even in summer it can go cold at night so we recommend you bring warm layers just in case and so you can make the most of starry nights sat out on the verandah.

In cooler weather we will light the wood burning stove before you arrive to make sure your tent is snug and comforting as soon as you arrive. You will also find hot water bottles tucked into beds.

Don’t Forget Your Wellies!

The River Ceri

There is access to 24 acres of grassland, woodland walks and river frontage at Felin Geri.

We recommend wellies and walking boots or stout shoes to make the most of the outdoor spaces that can be explored at Felin Geri. Waterproofs are also a good idea to make the most of your holiday whatever the time of year. You are coming to Wales after all!

Despite the luxury that the safari tents provide it is still camping and it is important to respect the environment and be aware of potential dangers that surround you. Please note that, while we do everything we can to make your stay safe, it is your responsibility to ensure your own safety and especially that of your children and pets.

Particularly in the river fields it is essential that both children and pets are carefully supervised at all times as the unfenced river is an exciting but potentially dangerous part of the environment of Felin Geri.
