Terms and Conditions
Booking & Payments:
All bookings should be treated as provisional until you receive written confirmation from us via email or post.
To secure your booking a non-refundable deposit of 30% (or full payment) of the cost of your stay is required.
Bookings must be paid in full 8 weeks before your visit start time. If the booking is less than 8 weeks from the date of your stay the full price of the stay is required. Confirmation of the booking will be sent after the deposit, and/or full payment, has been received.
The prices featured on the website are not binding; Felin Geri (Dive Team Ltd) reserves the right to modify these prices. At the time of booking you will be informed of the prices applicable to your stay.
Payment can be made on line by debit or credit card at the time of your booking. Alternatively, you can pay by bank transfer or cheque.
Felin Geri (Dive Team Ltd) only accepts bookings from individuals over 18 years of age.
Felin Geri (Dive Team Ltd) reserves the right, at all times, without statement of reasons, to refuse or cancel a booking.
If the balance is not paid by the due date Felin Geri (Dive Team Ltd) reserves the right to re-let the accommodation and retain the deposit.
If you cancel within 8 weeks of your arrival date we will endeavour to re-let your accommodation. If we are unable to do so, then we regret that we will be unable to refund any monies paid. Should you cancel prior to this date, we will refund any monies paid, less your deposit, or we can reschedule your stay for another date. An administration fee of £50 will be charged in this instance.
We recommend that you have appropriate holiday insurance cover.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your holiday we shall inform you as soon as possible and refund all monies paid to us, by you, within 14 days.
Your tent will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival but you are welcome to arrive earlier and wander around the site or chill out in the Mill Café Bar.
Generally it is easier to settle in to the safari tents during daylight hours as it is very dark once the sun has gone down. Please try to plan your arrival time to be before 7pm. However, we know how journeys can take much longer than planned so if you are held up en route please contact us so that we can light your wood burning stove for you and are ready to welcome you when you arrive.
Guests are requested to vacate the accommodation by 10am on your check-out date although you are welcome to stay on site and make use of the play field and café area if you do not want to leave Felin Geri until later in the day. For those guests who are unable to stay for the last night of their stay, you are welcome to stay on site and have use of your accommodation until whatever time you wish to depart on that day.
We are happy to welcome groups to Felin Geri but please bear in mind that Felin Geri is not suitable for noisy partying.
If the reason for your visit is to celebrate a special event please call to discuss your plans before booking so that we can help to make our stay even more memorable.
Felin Geri (Dive Team Ltd) reserves the right to refuse group bookings if we feel that this may be of detriment to other guests or the local environment.
The basic charge for hire of a hot tub is £70 which covers filling the hot tub and the first three nights. This is to be booked at the time of booking your holiday.
There is a charge of £10 per night for every consecutive night that the hot tub is required. This payment is due on site.
For guests booked in for a stay of longer than three nights, we will contact you a few days before your stay to check if you want the tub full on arrival. You can choose when you would like the hot tub to be available for use but usage must be over consecutive days.
Using the Hot Tubs:
- Instructions for use of the Hot Tub relevant to your tent are in the manual in your tent.
- We will run through the instructions with you as part of your Tent tour on arrival or before you first use the Hot Tub. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance at any time.
- One of the Felin Geri team will check your Hot Tub each morning when it is in use.
- Please do not alter the temperature controls. If you have any concerns please raise them with Alan or one of the team.
- No children under 4 years should use the Hot Tub and bathers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Please consult your doctor about using the Hot Tub before your holiday if you are receiving medical attention or have a long term illness.
- Only use the Hot Tub after seeking medical advice if you have a condition that is affected by heat, for example, a heart condition or high/low blood pressure.
- Do not use the Hot Tub if you are pregnant, under the influence of alcohol, have just eaten a large meal or are on medication.
- No food, liquids, glass, pets, bubble bath or oils are allowed in the Hot Tub as these may result in the Hot Tub having to be drained.
- If you start to feel uncomfortable or unwell you should get out of the Hot Tub immediately.
- For safe use we recommend a maximum of 20 minutes at a time in the Hot Tub with a rest period of between 10 and 20 minutes.
- Please take care when getting into and out of the Hot Tub as the decking is slippery when wet.
- Do not use the Hot Tub during a storm.
Felin Geri is a dog friendly location and can be a wonderful place to share with your family pet. The tents are spacious but both for your comfort and for the comfort of other guests we generally only allow a maximum of 2 dogs per tent and in the Millers Cottage.
When considering whether or not to bring your dog/s please ask yourself the following:
Does my dog cope with all the different smells and sounds in the country or will he/she be unnerved and bark at the slightest unusual sound?
How does my dog cope with meeting other strange dogs or people, especially children?
If the answer to both questions is no problem, then we are happy to welcome your dog/s to Felin Geri.
If you want to bring your dog this must be advised at the time of booking and you should also make known the breed/type and size of dog. Please talk to us at any time if you have any queries.
We do have a few rules for the Dogs while they are here:
- They must not go on soft furnishings or beds at any time. They are dogs and with the best will in the world will make a mess especially if they have been for a swim in the river or rolled in something rural!
- We have hose down facilities so under no circumstances try and use the shower to clean him or her off.
- Your dogs should be well socialised and well behaved as they are likely to meet other dogs as well as people on the site. It is important that they do not intimidate staff or guests as not everyone is a dog lover.
- For their comfort your dogs need their own blankets and bowls but we provide a washable plastic dog bed.
- In no circumstances should your dogs be left alone or unsupervised, in the tent/cottage or in your car.
- Dog owners must clean up after their dogs if they defecate anywhere on the site. Bins are provided on site. Failure to do this will be heavily surcharged.
- If any extra cleaning is required there will be a charge.
Day visitors are welcome to Felin Geri but please inform us to ensure parking is available for them if required. We ask that they make themselves known to us and sign the visitors’ book on arrival and leave contact details in case we need to know who is on site in an emergency.
We request that day visitors leave the site by midnight and that after 10.30pm they stay in the café bar area to avoid potential disruption to other guests.
Caring for the Environment:
Noise: Felin Geri is a peaceful, rural environment and we ask that guests respect this. For everyone’s benefit we ask that noise be kept to a minimum after 10.30pm and before 8am.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted at any time in the Safari Tents, on the tent decking area, in the Millers Cottage or in the Mill Café Bar or Pantry.
Litter: Please dispose of litter appropriately in the bins available. Felin Geri tries to recycle as much as possible.
Fire Hazards: Candles must not be lit inside the tents. Please ensure that lit candles on the decking or fires (stove or BBQ) are never left unattended.
Caring for your Safety:
We want you to be free to roam the site and every reasonable effort has been made to indicate possible safety hazards in the property description. However, it is your responsibility (particularly parents with young children) to inspect the property and grounds and note any possible hazards. Check the layout of the accommodation so that in an emergency you can get out quickly and easily.
Please read and respect any warning, hazard and restriction notices that Felin Geri have placed both inside your accommodation and around the site in general. The manual in your tent gives guidance for using the heating and cooking equipment and if unsure of anything please ask a member of staff. The guidance and notes have all been placed there for your safety.
Please remember that, while a holiday in one of our safari tents provides you with a level of luxury not seen on an ordinary camp site, it is still camping and the location of our tents means that you will be close to nature that can be unpredictable and requires your respect.
At Felin Geri we make every effort to ensure that you have an enjoyable holiday and want to return. However, despite this the situation may arise where you have a genuine complaint. You must take this up with the Owner immediately the issue arises so that any remedial action required can be taken and any shortcomings can be rectified as soon as possible.
If you feel that the complaint remains unresolved then you must notify Felin Geri (Dive Team Ltd) in writing or by email, within 7 days of returning from your holiday.
Please help us to help you by following this procedure which is designed to effect expedient investigation and rectification of complaints so that your time with us is disturbed as little as possible. We cannot subsequently consider any complaints or enter into any correspondence about them unless this procedure has been followed.
